Newton, KS is a central Kansas town of approximately 20,000 residences and boasts a number of large employers and demand generators in the county, such as ADCO, BNSF, Newton Medical Center, Bethel & Hesston Colleges. ABI, an aerospace company located in Wichita, is building a new 20,000 sq ft facility at the Newton City/County Airport. The City has dedicated over 400 acres to the Kansas Logistics Park, to take advantage of the central location of the area, together with access to rail and air. Many of the local manufacturers in the area, such as AGCO and Excel Industries ship equipment worldwide, which was one of the factors prompting the development of the logistics park.
