Brent is one of the co-founding members of Leisure Real Estate Advisors LLC with over 25 years of investment real estate and hotel brokerage experience. His wide range of real estate expertise and advanced training establish him as a valued partner in today’s complex hotel real estate environment.

Prior to joining Leisure Real Estate Advisors, he was Director of Investment Sales with a regional commercial real estate firm where he conducted marketing and sales campaigns for over 250 million in investment real estate. During his tenure, he provided extensive experience in marketing, negotiating and closing a diverse array of multi million dollar commercial and hospitality transactions, all of which earned him the designation of “Top Producer” four of his last five years with this firm. Since its first listing in 1998 and under the direction of Mr. Jaynes, the company has averaged double digit annual increases in listing and closing volume, to become one of the national leaders in hotel brokerage. Collectively, the Leisure Real Estate Advisors brokerage group represents over $1.5 billion in transactions. Individually, Mr. Jaynes is responsible for over $750 million in sales.

Mr. Jaynes growing client list includes a broad range of owners including banks, individual owners, multi property partnerships, regional hotel companies, insurance companies and national investment groups.

Mr. Jaynes received his undergraduate training from Kansas State University and his doctorate with honors at University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he also served as assistant professor for graduate students.

He has been an active member of the community as a volunteer in local civic organizations. Mr. Jaynes has served as president and member of the Overland Park South Rotary Club, and chairman of the Corporate Woods Jazz Festival. He has also served on a number of non-profit boards, including the Kansas City Christian Academy Board of Directors. For over 23 years, Mr. Jaynes has volunteered as middle school head football coach, grades 6th through 8th.

He and his wife Elizabeth have been long term residents of Overland Park, KS where they have raised three wonderful children.

Rick Hagerman joined Leisure Real Estate Advisors, LLC as a Senior Investment Advisor in 2004. 

Mr. Hagerman’s experience in originating, structuring and acquiring investments within the hotel real estate industry is unsurpassed.  With the completion of hundreds of acquisitions, dispositions, and sales totaling nearly $1 billion, his track record speaks for itself.

Prior to joining Leisure Real Estate Advisors, he held the position of Director of Real Estate for American Executive Management Company a hotel development and management company.  In that capacity, he served as lead executive in site acquisition, investment valuation and brokerage. Additional efforts included development of national strategic alliances with hotel investors, developers, and financial institutions.  His responsibilities included complete oversight of the marketing and sale of a wide variety of hotel assets, from limited service hotels to full service resorts. 

Prior to AEM, Mr. Hagerman served as Director of Real Estate Acquisitions for Selco, Inc., a Kansas City based investment and syndication firm.  During his tenure, he facilitated the acquisition and investment placement of over $750 million of hotel assets.  One multi-property transaction of note included the placement of over $130 million in debt and equity to facilitate the acquisition through Bear Stearns and Westinghouse.  He was also responsible for negotiating the successful sale and ownership transfer of notable properties such as the Royal Plaza Hotel in Disney Village, Orlando, Hilton Hotel in Myrtle Beach, SC, and the Doubletree Inn in Scottsdale, AZ.

Since joining Leisure Real Estate Advisors, Mr. Hagerman continues to build an impressive list of closed transactions and has totaled over $250 million in sales during that period.  His clients continually recognize his professionalism and depth of knowledge of all facets of a hotel transaction, both valuable assets in today’s complex deal making environment.  His experience from Wall Street to Main Street provides insight few brokers possess.

Mr. Hagerman received his Bachelor of Science degree at Kansas State University with a minor in Psychology.

Mike joined Leisure Real Estate Advisors, LLC in 2004 and is the previous owner of Midwest Hotel Motel Brokers, LLC, located in Lincoln, Nebraska. He is a licensed attorney in both Nebraska and Wisconsin and has extensive legal experience in matters related to hotel real estate including contracts, due diligence, franchise issues and closing details. Mr. Works graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1995.  He earned his Bachelor’s degree with high distinction from Concordia College in Seward, Nebraska, where he was given the award of Outstanding Liberal Arts Student. 

Besides his legal training and expertise, Mr. Works brings a wealth of knowledge pertaining to all facets of a hotel deal and an owner/operator. As a partner in hotel ownership, he has in-depth knowledge of hotel operations at a level that is rarely found in hotel brokers. Furthermore he has extensive experience in creating investment partnerships and development of new hotels including Holiday Inn Express, Holiday Inn and Hampton Inns.

Since joining LREA, Mr. Works has become a significant producer within the firm including record sales for the past 12 months. His clients find his broad hotel experience a very valuable asset in creating successful hotel transactions.

David E. Jones

Dave joined Leisure Real Estate Advisors, LLC, as an Associate in 2009. Prior to entering the hotel brokerage business, Dave developed extensive "Fortune 500" experience in sales, business development and sales management. During his employment within the specialty retail division of Hallmark Cards, he held a variety of executive positions, including oversight of new store sales initiatives, business development efforts and ongoing sales management. As National Sales Development Manager (1998-2001), Mr. Jones directed the real estate & business development aspects of both new and existing Hallmark retail store development. During his tenure, sales increased 45%, from $50 million to $72.5 million, with 41 new store openings and 55 major remodels of existing stores. The division also successfully negotiated 75 leases during this time frame.

Mr. Jones then applied his sales and marketing skills as National Account Manager for LeisureRes.com, the reservation subsidiary of Leisure Hotels and Resorts. At that time, LeisureRes.com was a new "start-up" online reservation and internet marketing division for hotels, resorts and condos. Mr. Jones was responsible for implementing the LeisureRes.com business model as well as growing the revenue and brand recognition. He reported directly to the CEO. During his tenure LeisureRes.com experienced rapid growth in both sales and notoriety, surpassing $1.5 million in sales for the first year of operation. Due to his consistent efforts and detailed sales management, LeisureRes.com is now a dominant player in such key destination markets such as Branson, MO and Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, TN. Through his experience with LeisureRes.com and his association with Leisure Hotels and Resorts, he brings extensive experience in overall operation and management of hotels and motels, and more specifically, sales and marketing of those assets.

He earned his Bachelor's degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio.
